I’m really pleased with the boat we’ve chosen for Sydney Out Back, which we’ve named the “MV Ku-ring-gai Chaser”.

I knew, when I first saw it, that it was perfect for Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park cruising; but it keeps exceeding my expectations.

It’s meticulously maintained – although we are making improvements for our cruises – and, like most twin-hulled motor catamarans, it’s very safe, roomy and stable.

At 50ft, it’s also spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor viewing areas to explore, observe and simply get comfortable. Even with a capacity tour on board, you can still find your “own space”, which is important when everyone wants a good view of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

Whether standing on the Marlin board or sitting in its shaded, open-air Marlin Lounge, I grin foolishly every time I see those “bubbles” (the wake). If you enjoy being on the water, you will love this part of the boat.

Of course, it’s really all about Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, which is magical. Whether you’re looking through the large windows from the cabin, or upstairs in the covered, open-air Skipper’s Lounge, or standing on our unique bow-riding platform, everyone will be able to enjoy the spectacular scenery and enjoy the air infused with salt spray and eucalypt.

While the waterways are protected within Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, some people may find it harder to get their sea legs.

What tips and tricks can you offer to help visitors fend off sea/motion sickness so they can enjoy the experience to its fullest?
